Terps Top Illinois 69-61 in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

After only 6 games the Illini have already traveled over 10,000 miles, and it showed at Maryland Wednesday night in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. It was a winnable game—the Illini were within 2 with a minute to go, but couldn't find the necessary scoring to take the game. Shaun Pruitt, Brian Randle, and Chester Frazier combined for only 17 points on 6-28 (21%) shooting. When it was all said and done, the Big Ten went down in flames (yet again) to the ACC, 8-3. Next up, the 2nd home game of the year Saturday afternoon against Weber St. Recap. Tupper. Game thread. Filed under: Illini Basketball, Maryland Terrapins
