A Loss, and a Verbal

Illinois (10-12, 2-7) collected yet another notch in the loss column Wednesday night at Michigan State. The Illini took a 24-20 lead into halftime, but missed 9 free throws down the stretch before succumbing 51-41. The program received refreshing good news on Thursday when forward Tyler Griffey verballed to join the 2009 recruiting class.
