Klee had a great article about JH in the Sunday News Gazette. He noted that on a recent 10-day, 3-city recruiting trip JH took five pair of shoes while the other coaches wore one pair. Not just any shoes either. Shoes that send a message to the recruits. According to JH the first thing a recruit notices is the shoes, and that generates all kinds of questions. Plus, he decks himself out in all orange so he distinguishes himself from every other coach in attendance. It is definitely a new recruiting era and strategy for the Weber led Illini.
