Football remains in the Top 25

After dropping the season-opener to #6 (AP) Missouri, Illinois remains ranked in the major polls. The Illini fell from #20 to #24 in the AP poll and dropped from #19 to #25 in the USA Today coaches' poll. Ohio St—the top team in the Big Ten—is ranked #3 in both polls, while USC jumped Georgia to take #1 on both lists.
