Deserving or not, Illini ascend polls

The Illini moved up a few notches in the AP poll and re-entered the Coaches' poll today after the uninspired 20-17 win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Illinois rose from 24 to 22 in the AP and re-appeared in the USA Today Coaches' at 23.

After winning at Fresno St, Wisconsin rose from 10/10 to 8/8. Ohio St did a free-fall from 5/5 to 13/14 after getting smashed 35-3 by USC. Finally, Penn St inched up from 17/17 to 16/15 after destroying Syracuse.
