One foot to the goal line

This game pointed out flaws that have been evident all season. Our biggest flaw seems to be our offense's inconsistency.

Against Missouri and Michigan, and even at time against PSU, we looked like a top 10 offense. We put impressive drives together, ran the ball well, and had some big passing plays (rare in the last few years).

Unfortunately, this is negated by our poor performances; UL-L, and Minn most notably. We seem to be in auto-pilot. It appears as though the offense doesn't really want to work to put points on the board, as though they are thinking, "Oh well, it's just Minn, we'll get our points eventually." I also think the play calling is partially to blame. I know Locksley is a popular guy after last season's success, but he has to be singled out for some overly conservative play calling in this game. Not until the 4th quarter did we really start throwing the ball down field, shocking considering it worked extremely well against Mich, who has a better secondary IMO.
