Opportunity: lost. Illinois (4-4, 2-3) fell back to .500 Saturday in an aggravating 27-17 loss to the Wisconsin Badgers (4-4, 1-4). Juice Williams tossed 3 interceptions, the offense could only muster 3 points off the 4 drives that started in UW territory, the defense gave up a 49-yd TD on 3rd and 17, penalties, penalties, and more penalties.

These Illini nothing more than average.
