Eller can't wait

Two years ago, after his senior season at Bishop Kenny High School, Eller prepared for an official recruiting visit to Western Michigan. A scholarship offer would come on the recruiting trip, he was told, but the visit was canceled the day before he was scheduled to leave.

"I was hoping it would all work out,'' Eller said. "A day before that visit, coach Cubit said, 'No, I think we want a cold-weather kicker.' I'm sitting there as a senior trying to figure out what just happened. It's crazy how things work out in life. I'm having a solid year, and it will be great to line up against them.''
