Linebackers - Illinois is lacking

The Fighting Illini need some linebackers. We are lacking at that position this year and we are lacking right now in LB commits and prospects for 09. If the missing H. Bell not showing up is an indication that perhaps he is just using Illinois as a prop for putting on the Blue hat in the next cpl of weeks indicating his expected pledge to NC, we have lost the only big time LB we had a shot at this year.

Combine that with the fact (yes fact) that our 07 prize at LB, Tez Wilson; just hasn't worked out well at that position and we are in real trouble relative to our 09 and 10 D being effective enough to be top BT competition. Somehow our staff has let several good quality LB's go here and there as if we had 2 or 3 surely coming our way - only to watch as most of the top targets fade away from Illinois consideration.
