D.J. Richardson already bleeds orange and blue

Since officially becoming a part of Illinois' recruiting class, he's even become a recruiter himself. He often talks to Peoria Central freshman sensation Bobo Drummond. Aside from passing on some wisdom about the game, Richardson talks about the Illini and reminds his young Peoria friend when they're about to play.

Richardson watches the Illini when he can, and while he still has a full high school basketball schedule ahead of him and another semester at Findlay Prep, he can't help but think of next season.

"I'm ready," he said. "I can't wait to wear orange and blue."
