DT Akeem Spence picks Illinois

The Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) defensive tackle made a commitment to Illinois during his weekend visit. He picked the Illini over South Florida, Iowa State, North Carolina State and Syracuse.

"It's a good school and a school that's on the rise," Spence said. "There are a lot of good players there. I feel I can add to that. The recruits I was surrounded by this weekend, they were great."
