Weber says Big Ten coaches warned about rough play

Bruce Weber said this morning on the Big Ten conference call that league coaches were sent a memo last week addressing some recent high-profile incidents of rough play as a "reminder that we've had a few incidents and let's all be aware of it."
However, the situation worsened over the weekend when Michigan's Manny Harris was ejected for a flagrant foul after he swung his elbows wildly and broke the nose of Purdue's Chris Kramer. Earlier in the week, Michigan's Zack Novak was ejected and suspended for a game for swinging an elbow at Ohio State's P.J. Hill. And Wisconsin's Joe Krabbenhoft has been accused of throwing a forearm at Purdue's Lewis Jackson while setting a screen. Jackson suffered a concussion and missed the team's next game.
Weber indicated the memo came from John Adams, the NCAA's national coordinator of officiating.
