Heir ball: Jeff Jordan's 'D' the key

Weber rewarded the former walk-on with a scholarship this semester. And the way things are going, the 6-1 sophomore is in line to succeed Chester Frazier as Illinois' defensive stopper and offensive distributor.
''Outside of Chester, he's probably our best on-the-ball defender, and maybe defender, period,'' assistant coach Jerrance Howard said. ''He's a great ballhandler. He runs the show. And he does all the little things. We look for him to have a huge impact next year.''
