Mike Davis coming on strong
February 27, 2009 1:57 PM
Mike Davis has averaged a double-double in his last seven games (13.4 points, 10.1 rebounds), including his team-high 14 points and 11 rebounds in Thursday night's 52-41 victory over Minnesota. But coach Bruce Weber keeps on pushing his sophomore forward.
"He doesn't always have the sense of urgency he needs," Weber said. "He wasn't really ready to play that kind of physical play. I took him out for a minute and let him watch, and he reacted well. He reacts to some little things, little fouls. ... He has to make strides with that."
