"After re-examining it and x-raying it, (the doctors) felt there was too much damage to take a chance to have him play this week," Weber said. "Even after that, he tried to go in practice Tuesday. He just doesn't have the strength or hand mobility.
"It's disappointing for a kid who's been a heart and soul of our team in his senior year and worked way up to get to this point. He's been a key part of our success this year."
