Weber's quick-strike tactics finally paying off for Illini

Bruce Weber's seat in the stands at Cleveland State's Wolstein Center did not resemble a throne, but he could get a good look at the future of his kingdom from there.
On one court as LeBron James' King City Classic concluded last week, future Illinois small forward Jereme Richmond played in a consolation game against future Illini shooting guard Crandall Head. On an adjacent court, future Illini center Meyers Leonard was competing in a concurrent game.
For a coach once vilified for his recruiting acumen, the view was something on the order of standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon.
"It's a much better feeling," Weber said.
