Juice and Benn: Secret agents

Acting as football secret agents, quarterback Juice Williams and receiver Arrelious Benn followed their hunch and executed a mission they think uncovered some self-discovery on Illinois' football team.

Sensing teammates were breaking a team ban on specific bars considered troublesome in the spring, Williams and Benn staked out a few near closing time. They found their targets and reported back to coach Ron Zook, suggesting extra sprints as a punishment.

"I turned [the names] in to Zook and said, 'Man, we have to do something,' " Benn said Tuesday at Big Ten media day. " 'We can't wait for the beginning of the season or the end of camp. We have to let people know we're serious. We have to buckle down.' I set out to do that whether my teammates love me or not. I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to win at football."
