Jerry Angelo checks up on Illini

Good, crisp Illini football practice Tuesday, one attended by Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo.
Coach Ron Zook at first balked on saying why Angelo was there. "I'm sure he was just out here driving around," said Zook, who, like Angelo, is a Miami (Ohio) grad. "It's not that far from where we are. Obviously, it shows we have some guys and if they're interested in them we must be doing something right."
Zook said he and Angelo's brother were teammates. "Jerry was a senior when I was a freshman, I believe," Zook said.
