Feisty Illini showing plenty of emotion

The Illini keep showing a feisty attitude on the Camp Rantoul practice fields. There have been several skirmishes in practice, and the enthusiasm has been remarkably higher than last season.

"There's more competition, more intensity," coach Ron Zook said. "This is the best group in terms of leadership within the team. It's competition, and it comes from within. We can sit and tell them all we want. It doesn't mean anything until it comes from them."
