Deron Williams shows his gratitude

Talked to Deron Williams this morning and he's on his way back to Champaign for a big weekend.
He'll host a dinner at the I Hotel on Friday, which will honor the Flyin' Illini team of 1989, as well as present the Jerry Colangelo Award to Mannie Jackson and Dave Downey. Then he'll host a golf tournament Saturday at Stone Creek. The weekend will raise money for local charities, as well as do some good will for the Illini basketball program.
Plus Deron said he'll lace 'em up and play with the current Illini players (and some other past players, I would guess) at Ubben. Deron said specifically he'll be looking for Demetri McCamey, who, he said, has been "talking noise." My guess is that coach Bruce Weber told Deron to push McCamey and remind him what hard work is all about.
