Hard hit to Benn adds injury to insult

Left groggy after his helmet bounced hard on the Memorial Stadium turf the first time he touched the ball Saturday in the loss to Michigan State, Illinois junior wide receiver Arrelious Benn needed some time to regain his senses.

"I probably shouldn't have gone back into the game,'' Benn said Monday. "I felt that the team needed me. Winning was on my mind at that moment.''
