Big Ten talking big in preseason

The Big Ten put six teams in the top 25 released Thursday, more than any other team. Including the 16-team Big East Conference. So now the trick is for the league to live up to the hype on the court. It would help itself by winning the ACC-Big Ten Challenge for the first time after losing it in each of the last 10 seasons.
"This league is full of star power and balance," said Indiana coach Tom Crean.
Defending Big Ten Conference and national runner-up Michigan State heads into the basketball season as the league favorite, according to the media poll released Thursday. Purdue and Ohio State were selected second and third, respectively. The league doesn't release the rest of the voting.
