Charest to McGee

"His motion is a little bit long," Trudeau said, "and he may want to shorten it as he goes forward. But he made some nice throws. I knew Kevin Cosgrove (Gophers defensive coordinator) would put pressure on him by blitzing because young quarterbacks tend to panic more than react.

"But for me, the biggest play in the game was his pass to Eddie McGee (a 42-yard gainer) after Minnesota pulled within 28-25. Charest had rushed and missed that pass to the left earlier but he hit McGee the next time and allowed him to turn a short pass into a big play. Charest is learning that, yes, they're coming at you, but you have time. Patience is something that quarterbacks learn in time."
