No dice. No. 20 Illinois found itself on an icy gaming table Friday, blowing a 13-point lead and losing to Utah 60-58 in the semifinals of the Las Vegas Invitational.
Taking a long outlet pass, Shawn Glover dropped in a transition basket as time expired to give the Utes (3-2) their upset win over the Illini (4-1).
''We didn't have a safety back,'' coach Bruce Weber said. ''I saw that guy go and I said, 'Oh no.' He put it up there and it happened to go in.''
