Big Ten/ACC Challenge: Big Ten has shot to end 0-10 skid, but it'll take an upset to do it

The Big Ten, which has gone 35-62 against the ACC since this made-for-ESPN event began in 1999, could win it this year. But it will need some teams to overachieve. And with Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota dropping out of the Top 25, its prospects are more in question than they were before the Thanksgiving tournaments.

The challenge, which began with Penn State's 69-66 victory at Virginia on Monday, shapes up as a too-close-to-call event. Come to think of it, though, maybe that is a sign the Big Ten is headed in the right direction.
