"If we couldn't score, we'd really be in trouble,'' Illinois coach Bruce Weber said. "This gives us a little cushion. We have to keep making strides defensively.
"I want to keep being good offensively. The crowd likes it. At the same time, I know when we go to Michigan State and Ohio State, we have to stop people. You're not going to be able to score easy and free. (Defense) is my next goal.''
