Weber counts on 'D' to deliver vs. Bulldogs

The juniors are learning to lead. The freshmen are learning, period. Teamwide, the sense of urgency is improving. The offense looks promising.
When Illinois (8-2) faces Georgia tonight in suburban Atlanta, coach Bruce Weber wants to see the Illini continue to make strides on defense.
''We have good shooters,'' Weber said. ''It's surprised me a little bit how well we've shot it. You just hope it keeps going. But if we can do some little things and get to where we're a really good solid defensive team, it's going to lead to success down the road.''
