For Illini, McCamey, good things come to those who win

Illinois junior guard Demetri McCamey is on a roll.
Over the last four games, he averaged 19.5 points on 66.7-percent shooting from the field and 61 percent from the 3-point line. McCamey leads Illinois in scoring (14.2 points per game) and the Big Ten in assists (5.5 per game), yet he might be learning what really matters when it comes to point guards.
"We have to win games," McCamey said. "That's how you judge point guards and good players, on how they win games and not about statistics."
