Northwestern is ranked for first time in 40 years heading into Illinois game

"Our ranking has got to be a pretty big thing," Northwestern coach Bill Carmody said. "It's great. But it's like summer camp and getting a trophy for free-throw shooting. It's recognition for something done to this point. In a way, the season is starting over again."
