Illini face slumping Hawkeyes
January 5, 2010 8:34 AM
What's gone wrong with the Hawkeyes? Oh, where to start. In Todd Lickliter's two-plus seasons, Iowa is just 5-28 away from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes don't shoot well (186th nationally in field goal percentage) and don't take care of the ball (turnover rate is 178th nationally). Purdue and Minnesota used the same formula to beat Iowa: pressure the ball and force turnovers (41 total). "I would expect that people will extend their defense against us," Lickliter said Monday. "We'll just have to adjust and handle it."
