Hoosier homecoming

Since a season-ending injury to top scorer Maurice Creek, Jones is averaging 16.3 points. He ranks as the second-leading scorer among Big Ten sophomores. In three previous meetings with Illinois, Jones has downplayed the significance of playing against the program he grew up around. But it means more when you've spent as much time at the Illinois practice facility as some of the current Illini. Coming off a home loss to Iowa, Indiana had six days to prep for Illinois. Weber cited IU reserve guard Devan Dumes as a player the Illini will watch closely. "He's the guy that's scary," Weber said. "He's had some big games. He can jump up and make some shots." Indiana has lost 13 of its last 14 Big Ten road games. "We had to fight our butts off to win at their place," Weber said. "Tom Crean, I think, has done a tremendous job with them. He gets them to play hard."
