Griffey has become a film buff recently, trying to earn higher marks for his defensive preparation.

"It's watching film and dissecting it with every single coach," Griffey said. "I just keep getting it drilled in my head and instilled in my head, to know where I am on the court and react. I'm trying to get it to be instinctive."
