Illinois beats Wisconsin for fifth straight victory

"This kind of changes the whole perception on the team," Illinois junior forward Bill Cole said. "People have to open their eyes at us now. We're not the same team that we were in November and December."
There's no better place to make a statement on the road than Wisconsin. The loss was the Badgers' 11th here in coach Bo Ryan's nine seasons and the sixth defeat at home to a Big Ten team during his tenure. Illinois ended the Badgers 51-game winning streak at home against unranked Big Ten teams. Illinois won back-to-back games against ranked teams for the first time since the run to the Final Four in 2005.
