Bruce Weber's letter to Illinois students

Our players feed off the positive energy, pride and passion you bring to each game. Our team's bond with the students that surround the court and fill the seats in Assembly Hall is one thing that separates Illinois from other basketball programs. What you do for our program matters to us a great deal. Thank you for wearing your orange, painting your faces, wearing your wigs and making the Hall the best home court advantage in the Big Ten.

I hope you can bring the same volume to Assembly Hall for our remaining home games against Ohio State, Minnesota and Wisconsin. I can't tell you how many people have told me that last Saturday was the loudest they've heard Assembly Hall in years. Several people have asked me if we'll see that environment again this season. I know it can happen again -- three more times this season -- and I look forward to being a part of the positive, energized environment you create for us.
