Illini can't stop Purdue, but effort was a winner

I did not expect Illinois to win and wondered whether they - or anyone else right now - could hang close to Purdue, which has been playing great. But Illinois did, thanks to a very good team defensive effort on JaJuan Johnson, thanks to McCamey's unselfish play to set up shooters like Davis, Mike Tisdale, Brandon Paul and D.J. Richardson, and thanks to 40 minutes of exceptional effort.
I would say this: I think most Illini fans can live with the results if this team gives that kind of effort the rest of the way.
