March 21, 2010 9:43 AM
The two-time Sun-Times Player of the Year closed out his magnificent and sometimes contentious career by scoring a season-high 36 points and added 16 rebounds, three blocks and two assists to power Waukegan past O'Fallon 85-78 in the Class 4A third-place game Saturday night at Carver Arena.
"We didn't get what we wanted, which was a state title, but we didn't want to come out and embarrass ourselves or the school by playing poorly in our last game," Richmond said.
