Mike Shaw's recruitment starting to take shape

Unlike some of his Fire teammates, he doesn't have the national gurus "oohing and ahing" at his every move. If anything, we believe that Shaw might suffer from being too nice of a guy. Not only that, but he possesses a rare trait among many of the elite-level prospects who play on high-profile traveling teams--he puts the team first. Unfortunately, that type of mentality too often ends up hurting a player's status in the eyes of many evaluators. Nevertheless, we still regard Shaw as being one of the top three prospects in the state from the class of 2011 based on college potential.
