Former A&M coach Gene Stallings could see Texas and A&M go separate ways

Reports have surfaced that have conflicted with OrangeBloods.com's original report that both Texas and Texas A&M -- along with Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State -- would head west and join a new Pac-16 Conference. Sports Illustrated reports there's mutual interest between Texas A&M and the SEC, and numerous reports have cited the Big Ten's interest in the Longhorns.

Stalling told the Austin American Statesman's Richard Tijernina that it's conceivable the two schools could go their separate ways, but that any speculation is just that until concrete options are presented to both schools.
