Illinois-Missouri Arch Rivalry and home game revenue breakdown

The Illini and Tigers are not able to routinely pay the high end on guarantees, which have reached $1 million and more at schools with larger stadiums and greater revenue streams. For instance, Ohio State will pay Colorado $1.4 million to play in Columbus next season.

Illinois paid Illinois State $300,000 and Fresno State $350,000 last season. The Illini will receive the same money from Fresno State this year when they play on the road.

However, Guenther is feeling the impact of increased payouts nationwide. He said Illinois will pay its biggest guarantee ever -- $850,000 -- to Arkansas State in 2011. Part of the hope is that a win will help earn a bowl berth that will pay considerably more.
