Leshoure making good in hometown
September 26, 2010 1:58 PM
Despite offers from Wisconsin and Missouri, Leshoure chose to play football in a stadium only a mile away from his high school field, close enough for quick lunchtime jaunts home for mom's home-cooking as often as four times a week.
"Family and friends get to come to my games, people who watched me since I was little" said Leshoure, a junior running back who wears the same No. 5 he wore at Centennial. "People get a chance to watch me grow as a football player and off the field. It feels good to hear people tell you they've been watching and you're doing a good job. It helps you get through some tough times."
