Austin, Okafor, and Parker invited to U.S. under-16 national developmental camp

Springfield Lanphier High School freshman guard Larry Austin Jr. and two other Illinois basketball recruiting targets were named to a list of about 30 players who will compete for a spot on the U.S. under-16 national basketball team during a developmental camp next month.

Austin will join Chicago Whitney Young freshman forward Jahlil Okafor and Chicago Simeon sophomore forward Jabari Parker in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the camp on Oct. 9 and 10, said USA Basketball spokesman Craig Miller.
