Joliet Catholic coach, former Illinois manager Jeremy Izzo dies at 29

Joliet Catholic boys basketball coach Jeremy Izzo had only been at the school for a little more than a year, but he was already a "beloved" part of the community who will be "sorely missed," principal Jeffrey Budz said.

Izzo, a history teacher at the school, died suddenly Friday night at age 29. Budz, who hired Izzo in 2009 and was his varsity assistant for the basketball team, was unsure of the exact cause of death but said Izzo had a heart condition that required surgery several years ago.
