Local basketball recruits attend Illini Madness

About 3,000 people attended the event that featured around two dozen recruits sitting in the stands, including Rock Island's Chasson Randle, who is making an official visit. Randle is expected to decide between Illinois, Purdue and Stanford.

Others on the guest list included DeJaun Marrero from Bowman Academy in Gary, Ind.; Whitney Young's Jahlil Okarfor and Tommy Hamilton Jr.; and Simeon's Kendrick Nunn and Jabari Parker, who has a top 5 of Washington, Michigan State, Illinois, Kansas and Georgetown.

"No specific order," Parker said.
