Koenning knows Robinson's potential from recruiting process

Other than Michigan's coaches, Vic Koenning was the only major college recruiter who envisioned the speedy high school football player as a quarterback.
While everyone else was trying to convince Denard Robinson to play defensive back or wide receiver, Koenning was sitting in Robinson's Florida home trying to convince him he could play quarterback at Kansas State.
"Michigan and K-State, both used the quarterback run game," Koenning said. "I just had gotten hired and they sent me down there. He was extremely fast, state champion track speed."
