It's absurd that anybody declared the field as sufficiently safe, especially after it was laid out on the Wrigley grass. I wouldn't have wanted to be the athletic director or the coach who had to walk up to someone's parents and apologize because their son either sprinted into the wall or got tackled into the wall -- when there's never been A STINKIN' WALL THERE IN THEIR ENTIRE FOOTBALL CAREER TO THIS POINT!
