In NYC, too many 3s and not enough 'D'
November 22, 2010 11:57 PM
The Illini shot too many 3-pointers in New York. They were 10-for-29 on 3s against Texas, with only 10 assists. Illinois was better against Maryland, 10-for-19 from the 3-point line. The Illini didn't take the time to work the ball to center Mike Tisdale or forward Mike Davis.
"We're not patient enough to get them the ball against good teams," Weber said. "We have to learn to get better movement -- ball movement and body movement."
