Bombs away wins battle in Seattle
December 5, 2010 12:54 AM
A very good week for the Illini basketball team ended with a 73-61 victory over Gonzaga in Seattle Saturday, a bombs-away assault from beyond the 3-point line.
Illinois made nine 3-pointers in the first nine minutes of the second half, pulling away from a Gonzaga team that simply couldn't -- or wouldn't believe it need to -- get out on the Illini shooters.
"They couldn't find us," Illini coach Bruce Weber said.
