"A sea of green" in Houston

[Heather] Houston remembered Reliant being in "a sea of green" during the NCAA Regional last March, and she's pleased to welcome the Bears back for football.

"Getting to host a Texas team is really important to us," she said. "There are so many Baylor alumni in Houston. They've been calling us for two weeks straight. They've shown a lot of energy for this game."

Baylor coach Art Briles, who previously held the same position at the University of Houston, welcomes the opportunity to bring his Bears back to town.

"It's definitely a benefit for Baylor and mostly for our players and families and for our fans," he said of playing at Reliant. "If you've got two pieces of pie and you like pecan pie better than apple pie, you're probably going to eat pecan pie. If you have an opportunity to stay in Texas and play a bowl game, we have an advantage and we need to make sure we take full advantage of what's in front of us."
