Porous Illinois defense gives up 50 points in second half of victory

Without playing hard, these Illini are just another team.
"If we're going to be a special team, a top-10 team -- I hope that's their goal -- you've got to come, play and be consistent," Illinois coach Bruce Weber said. "The thing I'm scared of right now is that our defense has definitely slipped.
"I want these guys to be special. We have a chance to be special. We didn't show it today. You have to be ready. You proved to yourself. If you're not ready to play, you're just an OK team. If you're not ready to guard, you're going to be an average team and be inconsistent and lose to people you shouldn't."
