On accountability, having a deeper roster, competitive practices, and earning good minutes in the rotation

Having a deeper roster makes for more accountability and more competitive practices only if the non-starters believe their play in practice and in games might give them a chance to crack the lineup or at least earn good minutes in the rotation. After awhile, if a kid like TG never sees his minutes go up no matter what happens in games or practices, and starters never see their starting status threatened by a series of poor performances (MD), accountability goes out the window along with competitive practices.
